‘She’s calling my dog hers!': Husband moves his entire family in without consulting his wife, 2-weeks in wife grows a backbone and gives them a piece of her mind

A family is forced to move out of their home when a gas leak springs. Now displaced, they turn to their eldest son for help. He moves all of them into his home; his mother, step-father, little sister, and little sister's boyfriend. That sounds like a kind a family-oriented thing to do, right? Well, his wife, aka his chosen family, was never consulted on this matter. She simply came home one day to her in-laws moved in. She was obviously side swept by this, but tried to keep her cool. Though it irked her that her husband didn't even ask her if it would be okay to move them into their home, she tried to bite her tongue. She knows that her mother-in-law is manipulative and has always made her husband fight for her love. So she tried to take this as a chance for the family to bound. 

 

However, she didn't realize that this was an indefinite situation and there was no end to them moving out in sight. She endured two whole weeks of petty backhanded insults from her mother-in-law, immaturity from her sister-in-law, and straight up gross laziness from her step-father-in-law and sister-in-law's boyfriend before she lost her top. She sure let them have a piece of her mind, but now she's wondering if she was unkind about it all…

  • We are very much Team Wife in this scenario. When you marry, you are making a promise to consult each other in all big life decisions. Moving your family into your shared home is a huge life decision! The fact that he didn't include his wife in deciding this and then gaslit her into thinking she was being “cold hearted” about it just makes us sick. Like, dude really doesn't have any empathy for his wife, but will do anying for the family that has never treated him right? Gross.
